    In the latest survey, 47 percent of America approve how Obama is doing his job. The results are the highest for Obama, the Democratic president seeking a second term, since July of this year. Also, it's a five percent improvement since the last Gallup survey, taken Dec. 16-18.

    The Van Halen 2012 Tour was announced on the band's Web site the day after Christmas. Roth left the band in 1985 to pursue a solo career, though he tried to return. Band guitarist Eddie Van Halen kicked Roth back out of the band again in 19996 and he blased the band in a letter to the media. Roth called Eddie Van Halen a liar in the letter.

    Law enforcement officials in Dallas-suburb Grapevine, Texas said the man showed up for family Christmas in a Santa Claus outfit. The family apparently opened presents before the Santa gunman opened fire before ultimately killing himself -- seven died in the Christmas massacre in all.
