Barcelona News: Barcelona Are Out For Revenge Claims Lionel Messi

Barcelona's main man Lionel Messi has set his targets at the beginning stage of the season relishing the challenge to win all the trophies. Messi claimed that Spanish Giants are looking forward for the new challenge after failing to win the La Liga and Champions League last season.

Barcelona missed the Champions League Final after they were defeated by English Giants Chelsea. Messi missed a crucial penalty in the game at Camp Nou during the second leg of Champions League Semi-Final against the current European Champions.

"Obviously I would have liked to win the Champions League and as always win everything" Messi said.

"Not beating Chelsea and reaching the final was painful for us, and for me especially having missed a penalty. But this year we will go for it all again, we are prepared."

Messi and Barcelona players are under the guidance of their new manager Tito Vilanova and the Argentine claimed Vilanova has a different personality than Pep Guardiola, however Vilanova's approach to football is the same.

Manchester United News: Wayne Rooney Likely To Play League Cup Game Against Newcastle United

Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney is hoping to make a quick return to League Football. The England International is expecting to make a comeback by the end of this month.

Rooney was earlier sidelined for a month after he picked up an injury against United's 3-2 victory over Fulham at Old Trafford. The England International suffered a nasty-looking gash on his thigh from Hugo Rodallega's challenge. However the later reports suggested that Rooney could miss two months of football.

The 26-year-old is positive about his recovery and is looking to make a quick return but cautious of rushing back before time.

Speaking to Manchester Evening News, Rooney said "The injury is going well; It could have been a lot worse than what it was. It is up to the doctor. When he declares me fit I will be ready"

"It feels good at the minute. The timescale put on it was four weeks. If that is the time they feel I need for the wound to heal properly then that is what I will do"

Wayne Rooney Admits Handing Transfer Request Was Biggest Mistake Of His Career

Manchester United star striker Wayne Rooney has released his latest Autobiography "My Story So Far". The England International seems to be much more honest with his thoughts than most athletes even discussing his indiscretions at a brothel.

Rooney went on to admit that handing in a transfer request two years ago was the biggest mistake of his career. In October 2010, Rooney went public with United's lack of ability to bring in top players and indicated he wanted to leave because the club could not match his ambitions.

The England International did attract a lot of top clubs in the world including City Rival Manchester City and Spanish Champions Real Madrid. However, Rooney signed a new five-year deal with United two days later. The player considers the whole incident as a mistake and looks back with a sense of regret.

"In September 2010 my ankle puts me on the sidelines. I get frustrated with myself, my game, my injury, and everything around me. I'm stuck in a cycle of bad form but I can't get out of it"

Manchester United Transfer News: Luís Nani Could Be On His Way To Russia

Manchester United winger Luís Nani could be the latest star player leaving Old Trafford. Nani is currently been linked with a move to Russian side Zenit St Petersburg. Zenit have confirmed there have been talks for signing the player.

Zenit are trying to seal the deal which could cost the Russian side £25 million to capture the Portuguese International. Zenit have already acquired Hulk and Axel Witsel for a combined €80 million.

United are lacking options on the wings with Ashley Young and Antonio Valencia only been their regular wingers apart from Nani. United's veteran Ryan Giggs can also play on the left wing but Sir Alex Ferguson cannot rely on Giggs as he is entering into his last year of top flight football.

Nani was subbed during the United's first league game against Everton due to poor performance and then dropped from the next game. The Portuguese International came on for the final 30 minutes against Southampton last Sunday to help his side secure a thrilling victory.

"It's true we are negotiating for Nani and Moutinho, but Hulk and Witsel were our top priorities." Zenit general director Maxim Mitrofanov said.
