The lifelong desire of the fastest man on the planet Usain Bolt, to play for Manchester United looks to have come true in a truly different fashion. Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed that he is ready to give the Jamaican sprinter a chance to show his football skills in an annual charity match against Real Madrid next year.
Bolt, who won three gold medals in the recently concluded London Olympics having clocked a record time of 9.63 seconds in 100 m expressed his ultimate dream to play for United and said he would even reconsider his run in athletics if he gets a spot in the Red Devils team.
According to the dailymail.co.uk, Bolt after his successful expedition in Olympics said about his shot on United: 'People think I am joking. 'But if Alex Ferguson called me up and said, 'OK let's do this, come and have a trial', it would be impossible for me to say no.
'I would not take up the challenge if I didn't think I was good enough. I am a very accomplished player and know I could make a difference.'
