A demo of "Resident Evil: Revelations," the next release in Capcom’s long-running survival horror series, will be available for download on Tuesday, May 14. Gamers will be able to grab it for Xbox 360, PS3, Wii U and PC platforms via the Xbox Live Marketplace, PlayStation Network, Wii U eShop and Steam marketplaces, respectively.

"Resident Evil: Revelations" was originally released on Feb. 7, 2012, exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS portable gaming system. It was praised by critics, including Game Informer, Game Trailers, IGN and GameSpot, which it scores of 9.0, 9.0, 8.5 and 8.5.

We’re curious to see how a game that was originally designed for a handheld medium will translate to TVs. The 3DS version of "Resident Evil: Revelations" was praised for its visuals, with IGN calling it "a new standard for 3DS games, even with a little stuttering here and there.” We imagine performance won’t be an issue, considering the game is being ported to consoles vastly more powerful than the Nintendo 3DS. "Resident Evil: Revelations" is slated for release on May 21.

Will you be playing the demo? Are you looking forward to the release of "Resident Evil: Revelations?" Do you think "Revelations" will translate to larger screens well? Sound off in the comments below.
