On Tuesday Panasonic expanded its line of Lumix compact digital cameras - with a handful of unique features in the new Lumix Digital Camera.

Panasonic Lumix Digital Camera model DMC-ZS3 and DMC-ZS1 will join the two Lumix FS-series and LS-series cameras announced earlier in January. TheDMC-ZS3 comes in silver, black, blue or red and will retail for $400. The DMC-ZS1 will come in black or silver and retail for $300.

The new ZS series will feature standard OIS and a new Lumix Venus Engine HD to support the Lumix DMC-ZS3's AVCHD Lite capability.

Also The Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS3 has an ample 3-inch LCD screen while the Lumix DMC-ZS1 has a 2.7-inch LCD. Both cameras feature an HDMI output for playback on an HDTV.

Furthermore, the cameras introduced their new AVCHD Lite compression model for its HD-quality video capture in the latest shooters designed and program for consumers needs to have smaller video files for Web sharing.

All the new Lumix cameras are coming in April.
