Daniel (Joshua Bowman) may be dead but his spirit will remain very much alive when “Revenge” returns for the second half of Season 4 on Sunday, Jan. 4. According to reports, Daniel’s presence will be felt in the remaining connection between Victoria (Madeline Stowe) and Emily (Emily VanCamp), both who will be mourning the demise of their loved one in winter premiere.

E! Online teased that the troubled relationship between the mother and former daughter-in-law will experience a major shift when the ABC series returns in 2015 due to the loss of Daniel. Does that mean fans should anticipate the girls to kiss and makeup when the the show returns? After all, what better way to kick off the new year than by resolving old conflicts?

The upcoming installment of “Revenge” won’t just focus around the ever-evolving relationship between Daniel’s mom and ex-wife. It was revealed that David (James Tupper) will take up a huge chunk of the spotlight during episode 11 when his “past deeds comes to light.”

"Emily will have to learn what her father was really about and see the David-Victoria relationship for what it actually is, which is something that will help deepen her relationship with her father," showrunner Sunil Nayar revealed to E! Online.

David recently discovered that Victoria was the one responsible for his tarnished reputation. The love of his life revealed that she used David as a scapegoat to save her family from feeling the wrath of being connected to a terrorist attack. Because of this revelation, David has concocted a new plan to avenge his name—and it’s by killing the woman who betrayed him.

In a promo video for “Epitaph,” David reveals his murderous plot to Emily. But surprisingly enough, Victoria’s arch nemesis doesn’t seem onboard with the idea of killing Daniel’s mother—even though that’s been her goal throughout the past four seasons.

“You’re going to kill Victoria?” Emily asks, looking a bit perplexed in the trailer.

Do you think Emily will support her father’s plan of taking out Victoria? Or do you think Emily will find empathy for the villain due to Daniel’s death? “Revenge” will air its Season 4 winter premiere on Sunday, Jan. 4, 2015.
