"Rick and Morty" Season 3, episode 7 "The Ricklantis Mixup" will return on Sept. 10. Adult Swim

"Rick and Morty" Season 3 went on a short hiatus but would return next week.

For those wondering why there was no new episode for "Rick and Morty" Season 3 on Sunday, Heavy noted that the Adult Swim sci-fi animated sitcom took a break for Labor Day weekend. However, it will return with episode 7 titled "The Ricklantis Mixup" on Sept. 10.

As to what would happen next on "Rick and Morty" Season 3, the publication noted that the next episode's synopsis reads "The guys visit Atlantis."

In the teaser promo for "Rick and Morty" Season 3, episode 7, Rick (Justin Roiland) invites his grandson, Morty (Roiland) for another adventure. "All right Morty, ready for our adventure to the Lost City of Atlantis?" Rick asks Morty. "Ready as I’ll ever be Rick!" Morty answers.

The teaser cuts in another scene where the grandfather and grandson duo return from their adventure. "Hahaha, yeah! Atlantis baby!" Rick says.

Rick and Morty's next adventure is something that viewers should look forward to considering their last adventure. In the last episode, titled "Rest and Ricklaxation," the pair went on an emotionally and physically taxing adventure that almost cost them their lives.

Morty was initially reluctant to accompany Rick on the said adventure as he was trying to score a date with his classmate Jessica (Kari Wahlgren). But his grandfather did not take "no" for an answer. So, off they went into the most dangerous exploit they had that made them weep afterward.

"I can't do this anymore," Morty said. "That was seriously [explicit], we almost died," Rick admitted. "Yes, this was insane that was pure luck. I was not in control of that situation at all." Morty wept when he heard his granddad confirming that they were in grave danger. To make up for his grandson Rick exclaimed, "We need a vacation."

The pair went off for a spa day where they tried cognitive detoxing devices to remove the toxic parts of themselves from their bodies. But the toxic sides of Rick and Morty survived and it co-existed with them. They walked and talked and eventually managed to escape the Earth.

Den of Geek even gave the said episode a perfect score for the comic relief it brings. Thus, fans should watch out for episode 7 next week.

Watch “Rick and Morty” Season 3, episode 7, on Sunday, 11:30 p.m. EDT on Adult Swim.
