RIP Drake: Twitter Death Hoax Continues After Eddie Murphy Death Rumors

The Twitter death hoax continues and this time rapper Drake is the victim, with RIP Drake beginning to trend on the social media site on Saturday morning. The RIP Drake death hoax came on the heels of another death rumor about actor Eddie Murphy. There are no official reports that the rapper has passed away.

The Internet blew up this week when people began searching for answers as to whether Murphy died. But those reports turned out to be false.

Celebrity Web site TMZ verified that Murphy was in fact alive after MediaFetcher.com triggered the false report. Several other celebrities have been claimed dead in false reports. Those celebrities include Adele, Rick Ross, LeBron James, Jon Bon Jovi, Charlie Sheen, Adam Sandler, TooShort, Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Bacon, Luke Perry, Jack Black, Will Smith, Jaden Smith, Tom Green, Mac Miller, Tiger Woods, and George Clooney to name a few.

It is uncertain where the Drake death rumors started , causing RIP Drake to launch as a trending topic on Twitter. However, Global Grind has reported that the rapper is very much alive and was seen gearing up for the upcoming Super Bowl.
