“Rivedale” Season 2 cast Charles Melton as Ross Butler’s replacement to play the role of Reggie Mantle a few months ago.

Now, The CW shared a first look of the actor giving life to the comic book character. In the snap, Reggie and Archie Andrews (KJ Apa) seem to be having a heated conversation. Unfortunately, details about their conversation will only be revealed in the premiere.

A photo of Archie carrying his dad, Fred Andrews (Luke Perry), after he was shot was also published online via TV Line. Archie takes his dad to the hospital to receive immediate treatment. In another photo, the only son of Fred and Mary (Molly Ringwald) has blood all over his face and jacket.

But things will not always be difficult for Archie. In other photos, he is seen spending time with his girlfriend, Veronica Lodge (Camila Mendes). The two look very sweet in another photo.

Meanwhile, Jughead Jones (Cole Sprouse) and Betty Cooper (Lili Reinhart) will face some problems in episode 1, titled “A Kiss Before Dying.” In the photos, Jughead has a stern look on his face while talking to his girlfriend. Betty seem to be questioning Jughead in front of her best friend, Veronica, in another picture.

When things start to become more complicated, Betty will confide in her other best friend, Kevin (Casey Cott).

Jughead and Archie will also be speaking with Kevin’s dad since he was the one responsible for sending Jughead’s dad, FP (Skeet Ulrich), to jail. But by the looks of it, he is now convinced that FP’s excuse for keeping Jason Blossom’s (Trevor Stines) killer’s identity a secret was valid. In Season 1, it was revealed that Jason was killed by his own father, Cliff (Barclay Hope).

Josie and the Pussycats are also featured in the photos from “Riverdale” Season 2, episode 1. It is unclear how the singing trio will be written into the episode. But in the photo, the three female singers seem to be visiting Fred at the hospital or they could be in one of the school’s offices.

“Riverdale” Season 2 will premiere on The CW on Oct. 11 at 9 p.m. EDT.
