A new report claims Rob Kardashian’s depression due to his weight has reached an all-time low, and the 27-year-old is taking drugs and pills. A friend says the reality TV star is taking everything from painkillers to sizzurp, a concoction of prescription-strength cough syrup and soda. Other celebrities have also been in the headlines for drinking sizzurp, including Justin Bieber and Lil’ Wayne.

“He’d just lie around his place smoking weed, doing drugs, watching movies and eating,” a friend tells InTouch Weekly. "He said he ‘needed’ the pills. In addition to sizzurp, Rob is also allegedly taking painkillers such as Norco, Percocet and Xanax. Norco (acetaminophen and hydrocodone) is used to relieve moderate to severe pain, as is Percocet. Xanax is an anti-depressant.

His mother, Kris Jenner, opened up about her son earlier this month, telling E!, "Rob is living in L.A. right now, and he's doing well, finding out what makes him tick and struggling with some stuff," she said, without going into specific details. "My job is to be there for him and to love him as hard as I can. Everybody goes through stuff."

His older sister Khloe also reached out to Rob after he distanced himself from his famous family. The 29-year-old, who often defends and supports Rob on social media, posted a picture of the two from their younger days on Instagram on Tuesday with the caption, “I miss my best friend.”

In addition to his alleged drug use, Rob reportedly is done with “Keeping Up With the Kardashians.” He has retreated into anonymity and does not want to have a recurring storyline on the popular television program.

Rob “has been holed up in his house and hasn’t been returning calls from concerned family members," a source told RadarOnline. Rob made the decision months ago that he didn’t want to have a recurring storyline on the upcoming season of 'KUWTK' and drastically cut back on filming."

Last month, he ditched his sister Kim’s wedding in Italy and flew back home to Los Angeles. "He wanted to be there, but he was feeling so insecure and didn't want anyone to see him heavier like this," a source told E! "Kim and Kanye completely understand. They love Rob and only want him to be healthy and happy."
