Robert Downey Jr. has confirmed his paycheck for last year’s blockbuster hit “The Avengers.”

How much was that?

$50 million, thank you very much.

The brash Hollywood leading man spoke with GQ in its May issue, which adorns Downey Jr. as its cover star, confirming his reported earnings for “The Avengers,” where he plays his now synonymous, career-saving role as “Iron Man.”

“Yeah … isn’t that crazy?” Downey Jr. said in the interview. “They’re so p***ed. I can’t believe it. I’m what’s known as ‘a strategic cost.’”

The 48-year-old actor went on saying that he will inevitably get an Academy Award, of which he’s been nominated for two and hasn’t won any.

"I, personally, would be shocked if we went to the end of the tape now and I didn’t have at least one … because I’m young enough, and I’m running down being occupied with these kind of genre movies, close enough," Downey Jr. said.

"Look, even if I don’t get one directly, eventually they’re just going to have to give me one when I get old. So no matter how you slice it, I’m getting one.”

“Iron Man 3” comes out in theaters nationwide May 3.
