Can you say weird? Robert Pattinson is known for being a charmingly self-deprecating Brit and apparently that bothers him. In the eerie French trailer for his latest film Cosmopolis, he seems to be doing everything he can to bury his image as a 'tween fantasy. He's naked, begging to be shot for sport, engaging in limo sex, beating people, and perhaps most wincing: putting a bullet through his own hand. While the film seems to be based on a typical day in the life of Charlie Sheen, it was actually adapted from the Don DeLillo novel of the same name. The bizarre plot centers on Eric Parker (Pattinson) a billionaire who takes a journey across Manhattan in a high-tech limo and encounters loose women, murderers, and (as seen in the trailer)...dinosaurs. We're in!

The unconventional tale is directed by body horror creator David Cronenberg. The distinguished auteur has praised Pattinson's work in the film and swears that audiences are going to discover that he can in-fact act. Last year he told MTV:

Really, he's fantastic. Really, I'm telling you. He's a great actor. It's obvious in the movie. It's not like maybe yes, maybe no. It's obvious.

This summer Pattinson will appear as a sexed-up journalist in Bel Ami and in November the final Twilight film, Breaking Dawn Part 2 will hit theaters.
