Robin Thicke has landed his first Billboard Hot No. 1 with his latest single 'Blurred Lines' -- proof that Pharrell , T.I. and a few adorably rhythmless models make for a successful combination.

The lead single off his upcoming album, "Blurred Lines," jumped five spots from 6 to 1 on the Hot 100, Billboard reports.

"Blurred Lines" also captured the No. 1 spots on the Digital, Airplay and Streaming Gainer charts. The song is the first track to land all three at the same time since the Streaming Gainer chart was added last March. The song has also passed the 1 million downloads mark, another first for Thicke.

Thicke has described the project as a fresh, less serious sound than his previous albums.

“I’ve really always really tried to be a serious, brooding artist and dig deep, and talk about my pain and insecurities and stuff, he told New York's Hot 97 radio station. "This time I didn’t want there to be any of that negativity. There’s still some depth on it, but its much more fun.”

According to Thicke, the album's next single will feature Kendrick Lamar and was co-written by will.i.am, VIBE reports. Dr. Luke provides the production to the follow-up to "Blurred Lines."

The album will hit stores on July 9.
