Friday, Romania's National Institute of Statistics announced that the industrial production dropped 8.5% year-over-year in March, compared to the 14.5% fall in February. After adjusting for seasonal and working day effects, industrial output dropped 12.1%.

Month-on-month, industrial production rose 9.4% in March, slower than the 11% increase in the previous month. On a seasonal and working day-adjusted basis, output was down 0.7%.
