RTTNews - Tuesday, a report by Romania's National Institute of Statistics said the industrial turnover rose 4.9% month-on-month in May.

Manufacturing turnover was up 5.6%, while mining turnover decreased 8.7% in May.

Annually, industrial turnover declined 19.2% in May. In the first five months of the year, the turnover fell 17.3% compared to the same period last year.

Separately, the statistical office said industrial new orders increased 6.7% in May from April. On a yearly basis, new orders dropped 19.1%. In the January to May period, new orders decreased 22.3% from last year.
