RTTNews - Wednesday, a report by Romania's National Institute of Statistics said the retail sale, excluding trade, motorcycles and motor vehicles sales, rose 0.2% month-on-month in May, after adjusting for seasonal and working day effects.

During the month, retail sales of food rose 4.2%, while sales of non-food products increased 0.7%. Retail trade of fuels for motor vehicles in specialized stores fell 3.3%.

Compared to the previous year, the retail sales volume dropped 12.3% in May. In the first five months of the year, the retail sales volume was down 8.3%.
