Consumer prices in Romania rose 0.27% month-on-month in April, slower than a 0.5% increase in March, the National Institute of Statistics said Tuesday.

During the month, food prices were up 0.03%, while non-food prices increased 0.81%. However, service prices fell 0.45%.

In the twelve months ended April, the average increase in prices as measured by the consumer price index and the harmonized index of consumer prices was 7.4%.
