MOSCOW - An explosion at a motor oil refinery unit of Russian oil major Rosneft has not affected overall production, a spokesman said on Sunday.

The unit of Rosneft's Angarsk petrochemical unit where the blast occured produces car oil, the spokesman said, adding that overall production was continuing normally.

The spokesman said that he had no information indicating the blast was caused by an bomb attack of any kind. The spokesman said one employe had been trapped at the unit and could not confirm local media reports that one person had died in the blast.
