Asset manager Henderson Global Investors (HGGH.L) said on Monday it has appointed Mark Carpenter, a director in its property division, as head of Henderson New Star property funds, replacing Roger Dossett. Dossett, who was head of New Star's property team before Henderson took over New Star in April, will leave Henderson later this year to pursue his own property interests, the asset management company said in a statement.

Carpenter, who is also deputy chairman of the Henderson Property Investment Committee, will have overall responsibility for the New Star International Property Fund and the New Star UK Property Unit Trust, Henderson said.
