YEKATERINBURG, Russia, Dec 18 - Russian telecom UralSvyazInform (URSI.MM) said net profit through end-September was 2.4 billion roubles ($79 million), the first time it has announced nine month results to international standards.

Revenue was 30.3 billion roubles, while earnings before interest, taxation, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) stood at 11.8 billion roubles.

The company, which operates in the Ural Mountains area, earlier reported a 2 percent fall in first-half earnings to 1.66 billion roubles due to higher financial costs. [ID:nLG158314]
