RTTNews - Industrial production in Russia contracted 17.1% year-on-year in May, after falling 16.9% in April, and representing the seventh consecutive month of decline, the Federal Statistical Service said in a report.

Month-on-month, industrial output slipped 2.1% in May, following a 8.1% drop in the preceding month. Industrial output fell for the second month in May, on a monthly basis.

For the first five months of the year, industrial output was down 15.4% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
