A Rutgers University lecturer who went on a Twitter rant after Donald Trump’s Election Day victory was taken to a psych ward for his comments, reports the New York Daily News.

“Every single person that voted for Donald Trump is a racist. or saw racism as easily overlooked,” said one Kevin Allred’s tweets.

Allred, an adjunct lecturer, teaches gender studies and created a course called “Feminist Perspectives: Politicizing Beyoncé,” which analyzes race, gender, class and sexual politics based on the star’s role in pop culture, according to his website.

In another tweet, Allred posted a GIF of someone burning the American flag tweeting, “Mood since Tuesday night.”

He also tweeted about the gun rights asking if conservatives would care as much about the Second Amendment if gun violence killed more white people.

Those tweets caught the attention of the campus’ police and called the NYPD.

“NYPD just came to my house bc Rutgers Police told them i'm a threat based on political statements i've made on campus and on twitter,” Allred tweeted on Tuesday.

“I’m being labeled a threat and put in a psych hospital. Trump’s crackdown on free speech has absolutely begun,” he added.

Allred was taken from his Greenpoint home in an ambulance to Bellevue Hospital.

The lecturer spent about two hours at Bellevue until doctors came up to the conclusion that he had no psychological issues.

“Even the doctors thought it was ridiculous to take me to a psychiatric hospital and force me into evaluation,” Allred tweeted, adding that the incident was “intimidation.”

The NYPD said police at the New Jersey campus asked them to conduct “a wellness check ... on the professor based on comments he made in the classroom and on Twitter about killing white people,” according to the Daily News .

Rutgers told the Daily News their campus police “took all appropriate action.” The school said it took action after a student complained about Allred.

Allred also tweeted that a doctor said “politicians say much worse on live television with no repurcussions [sic] and they choose to waste resources bringing me in.”

“Was Donald Trump forced to submit to a psych eval when he told 2nd amendment supporters to go take Hillary Clinton into their own hands?” pointed out Allred.

After the incident Allred said “Trump's crackdown on free speech has absolutely begun.”
