RTTNews - Consumer prices in South Korea rose 2.7% year-on-year in May, slower than a 3.6% increase in April, the country's National Statistical Office said Monday. Economists expected a rise of 2.8%. Inflation eased for the third consecutive month in May.

Month-on-month, consumer prices were flat in May, after rising 0.3% in the preceding month.
