South Africa's rand fell over 1.5 percent against the dollar on Monday, tracking a weaker euro which was pressured by increasing concerns about Greece's debt problem.

The rand was down 1.55 percent at 8.2259 to the dollar at 1457 GMT, coming back from the session low of 8.2350. It closed the third quarter at 8.10 in New York on Friday, recording its worst quarter since 2001.
