S.Africa's rand falls 2 percent vs dollar

South Africa's rand fell as much as 2 percent against the dollar in early Monday trade, hit by persistent debt concerns in the euro zone.

The rand weakened to a session low of 8.29/dollar and was at 8.26 by 0614 GMT, down 1.72 percent from Friday's close of 8.12.
