On May 3rd THQ announced that a new expansion for Saints Row: The Third is now in development. Called Enter the Dominatrix, the upcoming DLC will have a release date slated for the fall, according to the Saints Row official website.

No longer an April Fool's dream, the outrageous game concept will be reality this fall, the announcement reads. It's really happening.

The new content will be available for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC platforms, and is expected to sell for $29.99. The franchise has currently shipped more than 11 million units globally, the release says, and will feature one of the most popular requests from Saints Row gamers: freaking super powers.

Faster than a speeding cyber jetbike, more powerful than a roided-out Luchadore, able to leap flying aircraft carriers in a single bound...That's the power you'll find inside the Dominatrix, Danny Bilson, Executive VP of Core Game Production at THQ said in the written statement. Use it for good. Use it for evil. Use it for whatever you want. As always in Saints Row, it's up to you.

The expansion picks up exactly where Saints Row: The Third leaves off. Alien warlord Zinyak has had his eye on Earth for centuries, seeking to take over the planet's natural resources and women. He is now finally planning an armada for invasion, and the Third Street Saints are his only obstacle. To prepare for the strike, Zinyak has captured the leader of the Saints pack and traps him in an elaborate virtual reality simulation. The crew originated as a simple street gang from Stillwater, and has evolved into a global empire. Bombastic TV advertising campaigns and consumer products from the Saints have caught the alien warlord's attention.

Clearly, the Saints are the biggest badasses on Earth, the description reads.

Now trapped in the simulation program, which looks and feels just like Steelport, the Dominatrix is the world that has been pulled over your eyes to blind you from the truth.

Here, you are a slave. Welcome...to the Dominatrix.

One of the most alluring aspects to this Matrix-style expansion is the addition of superpowers, which have yet to be specified.

Other recent additions to the action-adventure open world game include six new outfits, providing players with some new crazy threads to add to their gang's wardrobe. Part of the Steelport Gangs Pack DLC, gamers can disguise their characters as Morningstar Soldier or sport some cyberpunk style with the Decker option. This extension, which was announced on May 2nd, is available for $2.99.
