Salem
WGN America TV series “Salem” airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. EST. WGN America

WGN America TV series “Salem” dropped several bombshells in the latest episode of Season 3.

Cotton Mather (Seth Gabel) has a child but it isn’t witch Anne Hale’s (Tamzin Merchant). Instead, Cotton’s baby is growing inside his ex-mistress Gloriana’s womb! If that wasn’t enough of a twist, we learned that Tituba (Ashley Madekwe) is actually a traitor who serves the devil and he has ordered her to kill his brother, The Sentinel, a.k.a Samael (Samuel Roukin).

What will happen in “Salem” Season 3, episode 6?

According to the synopsis, “Mary and Alden have their love put to the ultimate test. Meanwhile, Anne becomes more deeply involved with dark magic.”

The promo of the upcoming episode, titled “Wednesday’s Child,” shows Anne taking care, or rather, casting dark magic on Gloriana’s unborn baby. Towards the end of episode 5, Cotton’s ex-lover came to Salem in search for the father of her baby. Unfortunately, the sick woman found Anne and told her that Cotton is the father. Big mistake, Gloriana.

The spooky video shows the powerful witch casting spells and sleeping (naked!) with her. Is she going to kill the child? Her husband will surely kill her if he learns of her treachery. Another speculation could be that Anne will somehow transfer the baby to her womb. That would not only keep her marriage intact but ensure that she does indeed deliver a baby soon.

Meanwhile, Tituba and Mary are aware that a great terror is coming. Therefore, Mary needs to know what Sebastian (Joe Doyle) knows. He seems to be the only one aware of the devil’s plans. Unfortunately, the only way she can do that is by sleeping with him. Sebastian will finally get the woman he desires.

Visibly absent from the trailer is Countess Marburg (Lucy Lawless) who was seen tasting Mary’s blood in the previous episode. Will she make an appearance? Also absent from the video is The Sentinel. Will Tituba be able to kill the devil’s brother?

Catch “Salem” Season 3, episode 6 on Wednesday, Dec. 14 at 9 p.m. EST on WGN America.
