Salem
WGN series “Salem” has only three episodes left to air. Season 3, episode 8 premieres Wednesday, Jan. 11 at 9 p.m. EST. WGN America

WGN America’s “Salem” is set to air the last three episodes of the series.

Last episode, Mary Sibley (Janet Montgomery) successfully recruited Sebastian Marburg (Joe Doyle) in her goal to kill the devil (Oliver Bell). The plan worked miraculously. Sebastian tricked the devil into coming to the woods in order to kill the Essex witches. But, in fact, he was plotting to kill Lucifer with Mary.

The Essex witches sacrificed their lives in order to give Mary the power to kill her son once and for all. Although it looked like her son died, a mysterious figure, most likely Tituba (Ashley Madekwe), collected his body in a bag and left. He may be resurrected.

However, Black Sunday still looms large. The Sentinel (Samuel Roukin) will use the angel tears (also called red mercury) to burn Salem to a crisp. What will happen in Season 3, episode 8?

The synopsis (via TVGuide) of “Friday’s Knights” reads “Mortal enemies come together in order to keep all hell from literally breaking loose.”

The promo of the upcoming episode in “Salem” shows Mary joining forces with John Alden (Shane West), Cotton Mather (Seth Gabel), Isaac (Iddo Goldberg) and Sebastian in order to save Salem. They have less than 48 hours to save the city.

Moreover, The Sentinel plans to unleash the angel tears when the hammer strikes.

The promo also teases an appearance by Countess Marburg (Lucy Lawless). However, she is still seen rotting in her coffin. Will we get to see the vivacious character in episode 8? Given that Season 3 is the final season of “Salem,” it would be fitting to see Mary’s foe one last time before the show wraps up.

Elsewhere in Salem, Anne Hale (Tamzin Merchant) will continue to deal with the repercussions of stealing Gloriana’s (Azure Parsons) unborn child from her womb.

“Salem” Season 3, episode 8 premieres Wednesday, Jan. 11 at 9 p.m. EST on WGN America.
