Last Monday, the government said that a possibility of salmonella contamination has been the cause of recall of grape tomatoes. The supplier for Taylor Farms Pacific, Inc. recalled these grape tomato products.

Walmart, Raley's, Savemart, Safeway, Sam's Club and Albertsons are the different stores that have products using the recalled tomatoes. According to the FDA (Food and Drug Administration), these stores have branches in California, Oregon, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Montana, South Dakota, Washington, Idaho, South Dakota, Nebraska, Utah, Wyoming and Colorado.

These actual tomatoes were present in different products, varying from packaged salads up to prepared salads and even those seen in deli counters. These products are identified to have sell dates from April 27 up to May 9.

Fatal effects are possible for people that have very weak immune systems. The USDA said that kids, elderly people and very sick people have high risk of Salmonella damage. They even claimed that healthy people can also experience nausea, fever, diarrhea, abdominal pain and vomiting.

Those who have bought these products can return them for a complete refund.
