The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 may release on Sept. 27 Reuters

The Obama administration has overturned a ruling put forth by the U.S. International Trade Commission in June that declared that various Apple devices infringed on a certain Samsung patent.

Samsung fought to have the Apple devices, mainly the iPad 2 and iPhone 4, banned in the U.S. starting Monday.

The presidential order states that upholding such a ban could grant patent holders “undue leverage,” which has the potential to disrupt competition, hurting consumers and the U.S. economy.

In other Samsung news, the tech company is holding a press conference on Sept. 4 in Berlin where it is expected to finally release the Samsung Galaxy Note 3.

Samsung sent out invitations to the press on Monday announcing the date of the conference along with the sneaky tagline, "Note the date."
