Samsung Galaxy Ace 2, which was unveiled at the 2012 Mobile World Congress (MWC) Monday, is the iteration of Galaxy Ace.

The original Galaxy Ace is known as one of the greatest smartphones ever released by the Korean electronics giant. But the new Galaxy Ace 2, with its 3.8-inch WVGA TFT touchscreen with an 800 x 480 resolution display and 800MHz dual-core processor, will win the market, the company believes.

Samsung announced that the latest device will provide high-quality graphics for even the most demanding applications and games.

Before Ace 2 actually hits the market (scheduled to hit Europe by April), let's explore its features:

Dimensions:  Galaxy Ace 2 has dimensions of 118.3 x 62.2 x 10.5 mm and it weighs only 122 grams.

Display: The device sports a 3.8-inch 800x480 pixel PLS TFT capacitive touchscreen at 246 ppi pixel density.

Processor: The new Galaxy Ace 2 is powered by a dual-core 800 MHz processor with 768 MB of RAM.

Operating System: The new Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 will run on the Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

Memory: The new Samsung device comes with 4GB memory configurations and has a microSD card slot that allows memory to be expanded to 32GB.

Connectivity:  Ace 2 supports HSPA+ 14.4 Mbps networks. The Galaxy Ace 2 also has Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, DLNA, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi hotspot, NFC (optional), Bluetooth version 3.0 with A2DP and microUSB 2.0 versions.

Camera: Galaxy Ace 2 features a 5 megapixel autofocus, LED flash-enabled rear-facing camera with 720p video capture capability. It also sports a 2 megapixel front-facing camera for video calling. The camera includes features like geo-tagging and face and smile detection.

Input Features: Like all other Galaxy tablets and smartphones, the new tab also comes with Samsung's TouchWiz User Interface version 3.0.

Battery: According to Samsung, the Ace 2 will have a Standard Li-Ion 1500 mAh battery.

Other Features: The latest Samsung smartphone will come in black color and will boast of features like MP4/H.264/H.263 player, MP3/WAV/eAAC+/FLAC player, Organizer, Document editor, Image editor, Google Search, Maps, Gmail, YouTube, Calendar, Google Talk, Picasa integration, Voice memo/dial and Predictive text input (Swype).
