Samsung is planning to release the 5.7-inch Galaxy Note 5 phablet only in selected markets across the globe, while the other regions will be getting the double-edge-display clad Galaxy S6 Edge+ smartphone, according to new reports. The move is said to be aimed at ensuring that the company focuses on the markets where the Note series of handsets have been well-received.

While both the Samsung devices come with a 5.7-inch display, the Note variant comes equipped with an advanced S-Pen stylus. Speaking of availability, Phone Arena reported that the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will not be released in Europe. Instead, the Galaxy S6 Edge+ will be made available for preorders by the end of August. However, the handset will be shipped only toward the beginning of September. The handset will also hit the retail store shelves around the same time frame.

The Galaxy Note 5 will be making its way to the U.S. markets in Black Sapphire and White Pearl hues. Both 32 GB and 64 GB memory variants will reportedly be made available by all major carriers, including AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular and Verizon Wireless, according to Phone Arena.

In addition to the carriers, the Note 5 can also be purchased via Samsung Experience Shops located in Best Buy, Costco Wholesale, Sam’s Club, Target, Amazon.com, BestBuy.com and selected Wal-Mart stores. Here is the list of confirmed model numbers and markets where the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will be released. The list has been collated by Sam Mobile based on the available firmware package.
