The stage is set to welcome Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Note 7 next month, and if a new Geekbench benchmark test turns out to be accurate, the handset will come with the latest Android 7 build, also referred to as Android Nougat, out of the box.

The Galaxy Note 7, which went through the test, was carrying the model number SM-N930F and was sporting the Exynos 7420 chipset, instead of the rumored Exynos 8893 processor. According to Phone Arena, this could be the reason the device, with only 3GB of RAM, tallied poor scores of 909 (single-core) and 3,768 (multi-core).

Last month, the same model of the Galaxy Note 7 went through the Geekbench benchmark test. But at that time it was featuring the Exynos 8890 chipset, 4GB of RAM and Android 6.0.1. The device scored 2,394 for single-core and 7,347 for multi-core, Phone Arena reported.

Google revealed last week that the next version of the Android operating system will be called Nougat. The company made the announcement at its campus in Mountain View, California, and also on social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter and Snapchat and Google Plus.

Meanwhile, another possible variant of the Galaxy Note 7 with model number SM-N930V was put through the AnTuTu benchmark site. The test reportedly revealed that the device was powered by the Snapdragon 820 SoC with a quad-core CPU and the Adreno 530 GPU.

The AnTuTu benchmark test also showed that the display on the Galaxy Note 7 had a 1440 x 2560 resolution while the device had 4GB of RAM and 64GB of native storage. The test also suggested a 5-megapixel front-facing camera and a 13-megapixel rear camera.

Recent rumors have it that the Galaxy Note 7 will feature a 5.7-inch display, an iris scanner, and an USB Type-C port. The device is also expected to have an upgraded S-Pen with improved BlueTooth LE hardware. In addition, the Air Command feature, which is triggered by the S-Pen, is likely to have new options, Forbes reported.
