Although Samsung is yet to say anything official about the Galaxy S4 "Mini," the smaller version of its flagship smartphone accidentally appeared on the corporate website, reports say, suggesting that the company is indeed hard at work on a Mini edition of the device.

Redmond Pie reported that the yet-to-be-announced handset shared space with a lineup of existing Samsung models on the company’s apps website. The phone featured on the website was a white Galaxy S4 Mini model with the model number GT-I9195.

“Navigate to apps.samsung.com/venus/main/getMain.as, select United Kingdom as your country, click on Display Apps by device menu and you should see an option for Galaxy S4 mini,” the report stated.

An Israel-based website named TGspot claimed to have spotted two Galaxy S4 Mini models, GT-I9195 and SGH-I257. According to the site, the first model could be the LTE version of the handset, while details of the second one are still unknown.

However, at the time of writing the article, the Galaxy S4 Mini model is no longer visible on the Samsung website.

This is not the first time when leaks related to the smaller Galaxy S4 have been attributed to official sources. In March, a Twitter user reportedly found four Galaxy S4 Mini model numbers -- GT-I9190, GT-I9192, GT-I9195 and GT-I9198 -- on Samsung’s support page.

If rumors are to be believed, the upcoming smartphone is likely to be powered by an Exynos 5210 1.6GHz Dual-Core processor. It will feature a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display with qHD resolution (540×960) and 256 pixels per inch.

Depending on whether the phone will come with 4G LTE connectivity, there could be 1GB or 2GB of RAM with 32GB of internal memory capacity. The Galaxy S4 Mini is also expected to sport an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 2,100 mAh battery. The device is likely to feature Samsung’s own Touch-Wiz UX interface and run Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box.

As for the release date, Phone Arena recently reported that the Galaxy S4 Mini could be announced “later this month – on or around May 30, to be more specific.” On the other hand, SamMobile is betting on a summer launch of the phone in two colors, black and white.
