With more than a month to go for the Samsung (KRX:005935) Galaxy S5 to be available for purchase in more than 150 countries, the latest flagship smartphone is already up for pre-orders in Russia and Romania. Samsung had announced, during the unveiling of the handset last month, that the device would go on sale across the world on April 11.

Orange SA (NYSE:ORAN), a French multinational telecommunications company, has begun taking pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy S5 in Romania. The carrier has listed the device at 249 Euros (about $342) for a two-year contract while the device’s standard price is listed as 699 Euros (about $960). In Russia, Samsung itself is taking pre-orders for the Galaxy S5 on its website with a price tag of 29,900 rubles (about $827). That is a difference of more than $100 between listings in the two countries, which is quite strange given that both versions of the Galaxy S5 are listed as unlocked models, SamMobile reported.

Orange Romania is selling the black, white and blue variants of the Samsung Galaxy S5, with no mention of the gold-colored version. On the other hand, Samsung’s Russian site only lists the white and black versions of the new smartphone. Click here to go to the Galaxy S5 pre-order page on the Samsung Russia website.

Meanwhile, Samsung unveiled the official Galaxy S5 promo video and advertisement on YouTube Tuesday, highlighting the phone's various features, such as the new soft plastic material at the back, a slimmer bezel and an improved screen with Adaptive Display technology. The new 16-megapixel rear camera is also shown in the videos, along with new shooting modes and the Selective Focus feature.
