Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge are rumored to get announced in the coming month. Compared to 2015’s Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge smartphones, the successor smartphones are expected to arrive with major improvements.

According to Venture Beat, an unnamed insider who is aware of Samsung’s plans has revealed that the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge smartphones will be coming with new and improved features such as dust and waterproof capabilities through IP67 certification.

The external storage slot with support for 200 GB of microSD card will be also available on the Galaxy S7 variants.

The rear camera hump will be absent and as far as front-facing camera is concerned, both the devices will feature 5-megapixel selfie shooter. The Galaxy S7 will is expected to feature a battery of 3000 mAh whereas a 3600 mAh battery will be powering the Galaxy S7 Edge.

With wireless charging, it will take 3 hours and 2.2 hours to fully charge S7 and S7 Edge smartphones, respectively. Both devices will be available in color options like black, white and gold.

As the South Korean tech giant has done before, the Samsung Galaxy S7 variants are expected to get unveiled before the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2016 event that will begin in the middle of next month. The worldwide release of both smartphones is likely to start in March.
