  • A leaker revealed some of the Galaxy Z Flip's specs
  • The leaked specs indicate that it will be more powerful than the Motorola Razr
  • Samsung is yet to unveil the device, and might do so next month

Samsung's upcoming Razr rival is rumored to be better than the Motorola reboot, and if a new report is accurate, it appears that it will be the better choice among the two.

Previous reports reveal that Samsung's upcoming Razr rival, the Galaxy Z Flip clamshell, is coming in soon and might be revealed during the Korean tech giant's Unpacked event which will be held next month. The device is tipped to feature better innards than the Motorola device, but will be sold for a lower, and thus more attractive, price.

Earlier reports revealed that the Galaxy Z Flip will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC, which is definitely more powerful than the Snapdragon 710 powering the Razr. Despite this, the Samsung device will also be cheaper and fetch a selling price between $862 and $1,293 – also definitely better and more appealing than the Razr's $1,500 price tag.

While the difference in processing power and price tag might seem enough to convince Razr fans to jump ship and wait for the Galaxy Z Flip instead, a new leak seems to indicate that the Samsung device has more to offer than that.

According to a tweet from a leaker named Ishan Agarwal, the Galaxy Z Flip will feature a 6.7-inch dynamic AMOLED display, will come with 256GB of internal storage, will feature Samsung's One UI2.1, and will have either a 3300 mAh or 3500 mAh battery.

More interestingly, the leaker claimed that the upcoming Samsung clamshell will feature a 12MP main camera and a 10MP selfie shooter, the latter of which will be located in a small punch hole at the center of the unfolded screen.

These specs, if accurate, present some trouble for the Motorola Razr, which uses a 6.2-inch pOLED on the inside and a 2.7-inch gOLED display outside; has a 128GB internal storage space; will come with Android 9 Pie; and will feature a measly 2510 mAh battery.

The only area where the Razr shines against the Galaxy Z Flip, as per the leak, seems to be the camera. The Razr will feature a 16MP main shooter. The front-facing camera, however, uses a 5MP sensor.

That said, Agarwal's leak is but a leak at the moment. Samsung hasn't confirmed the specs and details yet, which means fans should wait for the Korean tech giant to officially unveil the device's specs next month.
