Peter Shui, a 48-year-old man from San Jose, admitted that he stabbed his 33-year-old girlfriend to death in an apartment complex on Friday morning.

His girlfriend's name remained in anonymity by the police.

According to the police, they received a 911 call on Friday morning from a man who admitted abruptly that he stabbed his girlfriend to death.

The call made the officers rush to Park Kiely Luxury Apartments on Albany Drive.

Shui's neighbor said that as soon as the police arrived, they arrested Shui outside the complex. The officers found Shui's girlfriend dead inside an apartment complex upstairs. They saw she was stabbed several times.

The neighbors also revealed the details of the case of domestic violence that took place inside the second-story unit at the sprawling apartment complex.

Rebecca Crane, Shui's neighbor, said that she even heard a woman screaming before the incident happened. "They were horrible screams," Crane said. "I had no idea what was going on inside."

According to the neighbors, they believed Shui and his girlfriend, who were new residents in the building, lived together and often had quarrels.

The case is under investigation. Anyone, who has any information about the stabbing, can contact detective Sgt. Erin Fong or Detective John Barg in the San Jose Police Department's homicide unit at 408-277-5283.
