Actress Sarah Michelle Gellar, mostly known for her role in 'Buffy theVampire Slayer,' is set to star in upcoming CBS show called 'Ringer' which has been given the green light by CBS.

Gellar's role is that of a troubled young woman who, while on the run from the mob, hides out by inhabiting the life of her wealthy twin sister, until she learns that her twin's life has a bounty on it as well.

The show is now in development and a pilot episode is expected to be filmed in May. The drama was penned by Supernatural writer/producers Eric Charmelo and Nicole Snyder.

Gellar, 33, came to prominence for her role as Buffy Summers on the WB/UPN television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer, for which she won six Teen Choice Awards and the Saturn Award for Best Genre TV Actress and received a Golden Globe Award nomination.
