Former Alaska governor, Sarah Palin, is away from the media spotlight as she is working on her book her father said, the Associated Press reported.

According to her father, Chuck Heath, the former governor has been away from her Alaska home for more than a month now.

Palin has not appeared in public since quitting as Alaska governor in July.
