Officials are investigating a scaffolding collapse on a Manhattan sidewalk on Friday morning on 14th Street near Seventh Avenue in the Chelsea section of Manhattan

The doorman called up and said we need to evacuate. He didn't say why. We just looked outside and saw all of the fire trucks and ambulances, so I came down and saw the scaffolding had collapsed, said a building resident, according to NY1.

The Department of Buildings is currently looking into what went wrong. No one was hurt in the accident.
