'Scandal' Season 3 Rumors: Will Olivia Pope Have A Baby With Fitz? Kerry Washington Pregnant With First Child

"Scandal" actress Kerry Washington is going to be a mom, it has been revealed, after weeks of speculation. The 36-year-old actress raised eyebrows this month after she began to wear larger clothes that completely hid her slim frame.

At this year’s Emmy Awards, "Scandal" fans first speculated that Washington was hiding something when she wore a Marchesa gown that hid her stomach and placed emphasis on her bust line.

Now, sources tell Us Weekly that the actress is four-months along. This will be her first child. In July, Washington shocked fans when she married San Fracisco 49ers cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha in Idaho. The two had been dating secretly for a year.

Her co-stars on '"Scandal" weren't even aware that she was getting married. The only person Washington told was "Scandal" creator Shonda Rhimes. "I bought her a beautiful, beautiful English tea set from Fortnum & Mason in London. I was one of the only people who knew about the wedding beforehand, so that's why."

So the big question now is: What will happen to her character, Olivia Pope? "Scandal" fans would be more than excited if she and President Fitzgerald Grant III have a baby, now that their secret affair isn't so secret anymore. But the pair hasn't had much of a romantic interaction in Season 3, as Pope has been trying to get her name out of the headlines and focus on her job as a crisis manager.

Will she instead fall for CIA black ops team B-613 member Jake Ballard, who suddenly appeared at her house in Season 3 after being thrown in the infamous “hole” for disobeying a direct order from “Command”? The two certainly had chemistry during Season 2, and even ended up in bed together. She also fought for him to be released from the hole by making a deal with her stern father, Eli Pope. Only time will tell what Rhimes will write up, but it is sure to be scandalous.
