What could possibly unfold next on “Scandal”? The drama seems never ending on the hit ABC series. After Olivia’s (Kerry Washington) jaw dropping decision to reveal herself as the President’s mistress, all bets are off in episode 3, “Paris Is Burning.”

According to the synopsis, Olivia and Fitz (Tony Goldwyn) will face “some very big consequences.” Fans will remember that the two lovebirds found themselves on different pages in episode 2 when Olivia decided to come clean about their affair just as Fitz decided to fight the rumors alongside Mellie (Bellamy Young). It’s unclear what Olivia and Fitz’s next moves will be, but one thing is clear – Mellie plans on going to war.

The episode description for “Paris Is Burning” continues that Mellie will bring in an “old friend to make sure she gets her way.” Who could the “old friend” be? While it’s hard to picture Cyrus (Jeff Perry) as anyone’s “friend,” the two have been on the same side as of late. And based on the promo video for episode 3 it appears as if they have mutual interests … “destroy Olivia Pope.”

Finally, “Scandal” fans will get to see how Olivia’s Gladiators – former and present – deal with the aftermath of her decision to go public as the President’s mistress. While Abby (Darby Stanchfield) seems “fully capable of handling working at the White House,” it doesn’t appear as if Olivia’s employees are in a good place.

“Liv has finally stood on her own and we are done,” Jake (Scott Foley) says to Huck (Guillermo Diaz) and Quinn (Katie Lowes) in the boardroom.
