“Scandal” Season 6 will soon reveal whether or not Cyrus Beene (Jeff Perry) will become the next president of the United States.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, lead star Kerry Washington hinted on Olivia Pope’s plans especially since she already agreed to help Cyrus get to the Oval Office. “Olivia will be faced with a lot of difficult decisions in the upcoming episodes,” she said. The actress added that there’s a possibility Olivia and her dad, Rowan Pope (Joe Morton), will work together even though the latter stressed that Cyrus cannot become president.

“They have such a beautifully conflicted relationship. I love their love because it’s so fraught, so it’s hard for her to have to be on his team. But she also loves him, and in many ways, she’s modeling herself after the parts of him that she thinks are redeemable,”

Meanwhile, “Scandal” star Darby Stanchfield also talked about the mysterious organization who made it clear that Cyrus shouldn’t become the next president. According to the actress, Olivia, Abby and the rest of the characters will seemingly come together in the upcoming episodes to take down the organization. “Mystery Woman is trouble and there’s more to it. It’s bigger than the audience knows. It’s going to take a lot of man and women power,” she said.

Scott Foley added that everyone will get back into the fold. “In order to make sure that the next president gets to the throne, people who have said, ‘I’m out, I don’t want to be a part of it,’ will be brought back into the fold, and everybody is involved in doing their part,” he said.

“Scandal” Season 6 airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. EST on ABC.
