“Scandal” Season 7 will return to ABC in October with Fitzgerald Grant (Tony Goldwyn) no longer the president of the United States.

But even though he will no longer be living in the White House, viewers will get a glimpse into Fitz’s life in Vermont post-presidency in Season 7, episode 3, according to TV Line. The installment, which was directed by “Scandal” cast member Scott Foley, will largely focus on how Fitz is living while he is away from his ex-wife, President Mellie Grant (Bellamy Young), and the love of his life, Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington).

Meanwhile, Olivia will be working closely with Mellie as her new chief of staff. This means that she has already given up her leadership position at Olivia Pope and Associates (OPA). The office will now be led by Quinn (Katie Lowes) and will be called Quinn Perkins and Associates (QPA).

Unlike Olivia and her well-known services, Quinn will struggle to get hired by new clients who might need her help. Luckily, she will be joined by Abby (Darby Stanchfield), who just completed her term in the White House. Abby used to be a member of OPA, but she decided to give up her post for the Oval Office.

While speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Stanchfield confirmed that Abby will become Quinn’s right-hand person. “They’ve even moved Abby into the office right next to Quinn’s. Right now, QPA has a branding crisis on their hands,” she said.

Quinn, Abby and Huck (Guillermo Diaz) will also be working with newcomers who will apply for a job at the QPA. Earlier this month, “Homeland” actor Shaun Toub and “Nashville” alum Jay Hernandez have been tapped to join the cast of executive producer Shonda Rhimes’ series. Even though their roles weren’t revealed at the time, TV Line speculated that the two actors may team up with Quinn at QPA.

In other news, the cast of “Scandal” Season 7 may already be filming episode 3. A few days ago, Washington shared a photo with Foley from the set of the series and said that she learned some stuff about directing from her co-star, who directed episode 3.

“Scandal” Season 7 will premiere on ABC on Oct. 5 at 9 p.m. EDT.
