Kerry Washington has been feeling great with her current pregnancy and joked that she looked curvier given her growing baby tummy.

The “Scandal” star was glowing during the red carpet of the recently held SAG-AFTRA (Screen Actors Guild‐American Federation of Television and Radio Artists) Foundation event held on Monday at a private golf club in California. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Washington joked that she looked different as compared to previous events. The Hollywood actress commented that she looked “a little curvier than usual.” Washington was referring to her growing baby tummy.

The actress is currently pregnant with her and husband Nnamdi Asomugha's second child. The Hollywood couple also has a 2-year-old daughter together named Isabelle. Washington also described her pregnant look as “blessed” during the SAG-AFTRA Foundation event, where she was recently awarded the honor of the foundation’s Actor’s Inspiration Award. Apart from commenting on her pregnant look, she also gushed over her growing family.

She even mentioned that she and her husband were “all really excited” with the arrival of their soon-to-be-born baby. “We'll see how it all plays out. I'm an only child, so I'm like, 'What's this going to be like?' but I think it's going to be great,” the actress added.

Meanwhile, Washington has been enjoying a quick break given the recent season 5 ending of the TV series “Scandal.” The actress has portrayed the role of Olivia Pope in the said ABC show. Filming activities for “Scandal” Season 6 is also expected to start soon. Washington has commented that she will be joining the show’s cast members to film upcoming episodes in July, as indicated in the same report.

“I'll be waddling my way around OPA [Olivia Pope & Associates]. Don't worry,” she said.

However, it is still unclear if Washington’s pregnancy will be included as part of “Scandal” Season 6’s storyline. However, the actress teased in an interview with E!News during the SAG-AFTRA Foundation event that the show’s writers appears to have no plans to add pregnancy and impending motherhood as part of her character’s life challenges in the upcoming season. "As far as I know, we're going to be hiding things. But stay tuned!" Washington stated.

ABC has yet to announce the target premiere date of “Scandal” Season 6.
