Sylvester (Ari Stidham) will be reminded of his late wife, Megan (Camille Gauty), in “Scorpion” Season 4, episodes 1 and 2. CBS

“Scorpion” Season 4 will pay tribute to Sylvester’s (Ari Stidham) late wife, Megan O’Brien (Camille Gauty), in its first two episodes.

While speaking with TV Line, Stidham revealed that there will be “a good amount of Megan O’Brien in the first two episodes.” However, the actor stressed the fact that Megan, who died in the previous season, won’t return in a series of flashbacks. “The character doesn’t come back, but there’s a lot of stuff for Sly as far as Megan goes,” he added.

“Scorpion” Season 4 will also focus on the progression of the relationships of the other characters in the show. For instance, Happy (Jadyn Wong) and Toby (Eddie Kaye Thomas) tied the knot in Season 3. Even though having each other for the rest of their lives is still new to them, they could be ready for the next step in their relationship: having babies.

In an interview with TV Line in May, “Scorpion” executive producer Nick Santora hinted on the possibility of the two characters having a baby in Season 4. “Like all things, the answers can be found in elementary school: First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes something in a baby carriage… One of my favorite speeches of the season was when Happy said she always wanted to wait outside the school for her kid. She still wants that, and Toby wants that,” he said.

Additionally, Paige (Katharine McPhee) and Walter (Elyes Gabel) will also have to think about the future of their relationship. The two have already professed their feelings for each other. However, expressing his feelings more often is something that Walter still finds challenging. Paige has been very patient with Walter in this regard, but the new couple could face some problems in the near future because of his reticence.

While speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, Santora explained why it took them several years to write a relationship storyline for Walter and Paige. “In our experience writing onscreen TV romance, audiences can lose interest when the main characters finally couple up. But when we go for it, what will that look like? Will Walter and Paige be happy forever? Will there be hiccups and bumbs? Will they break up and be apart again? Maybe bits and pieces of all three,” he said.

“Scorpion” Season 4 will premiere on CBS on Sept. 25 at 10 p.m. EDT.
