Slasher film lovers got their first look at MTV’s new “Scream” series Sunday night during the MTV Movie Awards. The network released a clip of the highly anticipated new series, which is based on Wes Craven’s hit 1996 movie of the same name.

While the original flick starred Neve Campbell and Courteney Cox, the TV series has a slew of fresh faces. Included in the cast lineup is Bella Thorne (“Shake it Up”), Willa Fitzgerald (“Alpha House”), Bex Taylor-Klaus (“Arrow”), Carlson Young (“True Blood”), Connor Weil (“Sharknado”) and Bobby Campo (“Being Human”).

The new series will follow a group of teens after a “cyberbullying incident results in a brutal murder.” The teens become targets after the death “stirs up memories of a killing spree from the past that has haunted some, intrigued others and maybe just inspired a new killer.”

“Scream” will premiere on MTV on June 30. Watch the video clip below:
