John Stamos is having plenty of shirtless scenes in Season 2 of “Scream Queens.”
Stamos’ co-star Taylor Lautner revealed to People on Monday at the Television Critics Association FOX All-Star Party in Los Angeles that seeing Stamos without his shirt on has become a regular sight on the set of the comedy-horror series.
"We've only been filming for two and a half weeks, and John has been shirtless like five times," Lautner said of the “Full House” actor, who recently filmed a nude scene for the sophomore run of the Ryan Murphy show.
“Glen Powell and I have a naked shower scene together,” Stamos told Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet at the FOX Summer TCA Press Tour on Monday. The actor actually gave fans a sneak peek to the steamy scene on Instagram last week. See his post at the bottom of the article.
During his interview with ET, Stamos also recalled a moment in which someone from the production was asking him if he’d be fine to show his bare butt on the show.
"On Friday night I get a letter from my lawyer saying, 'Hey, check this out,' and it was from legal saying, 'We'd like to show John Stamos' butt in episode 203 and 202. Is that alright?' I was like alright, well, here we go. I'm 53 next week, I might as well get it out there now,” he said of his reaction.
While Stamos has no problem going completely naked, he did have a great idea for a butt double. "I'd use Taylor's," he quipped. "Not that I've seen it, but I bet it's a good butt."
As for Lautner’s case, he revealed that he actually managed to talk his way out of being shirtless on screen.
"The first script had both of us shirtless in separate scenes," Stamos explained. "[But] he talked his way out of it. It got rewritten."
In his defense, the “Twilight” alum said: “I've had so much shirtless in my life that I need a little break. But there is a fair amount of sexy scenes for everyone. I haven't been shirtless yet but I've been stripped down a little bit."
Stamos and Lautner both play medical doctors in Season 2 of “Scream Queens.” Stamos portrays Dr. Brock Holt, the recipient of the world's first complete hand transplant. Lautner, on the other hand, plays Dr. Cassidy Cascade, an MD with a strange medical condition who forms a bond with returning character Chanel #3 (Billie Lourd).
"Scream Queens" Season 2 premieres on Tuesday, Sept. 20 at 9 p.m. on FOX.
