Kirstie Alley has started filming “Scream Queens” Season 2 on Thursday, Sept. 15, and although she has more than 70 acting credits under her belt, the actress admitted that she had some serious jitters on her first day of filming.

“Ok I’m always gonna report the truth..sooooo I had horrible nervous jitters the first day on ‘Scream Queens’ ..felt like an idiot UGH,” the 65-year-old Kansas native tweeted.

In a follow-up post, the Golden Globe-winning actress compared her first day of shooting to the usual first-day jitters students usually experience.

“I know that first day of kindergarten when ur mom leaves and you wet ur pants at nap time? ..I do ..I relived it today without the pee part,” she wrote.

Alley also expressed her gratefulness to the cast and crew of the FOX series who gave her a warm welcome. “I would just like to add that the cast and crew of @ScreamQueens couldn’t have been nicer and more welcoming! THANK YOU,” she tweeted.

To welcome Alley to the cast, Jamie Lee Curtis snuck into her trailer and left a mini crown for the newcomer.

Alley then shared a mirror selfie of herself wearing the sparkly head ornament. “First day on ‘Scream Queens’ ..look what I found in my trailer ..thanks for the crown @jamieleecurtis !! Xxoo,” she captioned the pic.

As previously reported by Entertainment Weekly, Alley will portray the “brilliant and devious administrator” of Cathy Munsch’s (Curtis) hospital in Season 2 of “Scream Queens.” The hospital, called C.U.R.E. Institute, is unlike any regular health facility as it treats some of the most fascinating and bizarre medical cases.

In the FOX press release announcing Alley’s series regular casting, the network declared that the “Cheers” alum is “one of the great actresses of her generation, proving time and again that she is capable of great depth and range, as well as possessing a comedic timing second to none.”

“Scream Queens” Season 2 premieres on Tuesday, Sept. 20, at 9 p.m. on FOX.
